Rulmeca Corporation received a MADE 2022 award from the Greater Wilmington Business Journal in the “manufacturing” category at the Wilmington Biz Conference & Expo on October 6, 2022.  Mike Gawinski (left) and Brian Vrablic (right) accepted the award at the conference.

An independent panel of outside judges based their selections of winners on factors including:

  • Does the business have unique offerings in its market?
  • Which companies are likely to grow sales the most?
  • Is the continued growth likely to result in the creation of more jobs in the region?

The company is expanding its current footprint by 50% to make room for more equipment and staff in its Motorized Pulley production plant.

This is second time Rulmeca Corporation has been honored with the MADE award, the first being in 2018 when the company relocated from Dutch Square to Northchase Industrial Park to double the space needed for the expanding operation.

The Greater Wilmington Business Journal launched the MADE awards to recognize manufacturers, artisans, small businesses, and the businesses that support them in New Hanover, Brunswick, and Pender counties.  This is to bring attention to the fact that the area is home to more made-in-Wilmington products than residents and business leaders might realize.
