Rulmeca Corporation welcomed two colleagues from Rulmeca Germany to our facility in Wilmington in November.  We had a very productive week coordinating administrative, technical, and production details between our two companies.  Videoconferences (required by COVID travel restrictions) are OK, but not nearly as effective as in-person visits, especially when the nuances of local assembly techniques are involved.  From left to right are: (top row) are Brian Vrablic, Jeremy Campbell, Casie Moore, Tony McNeil, Keith Blake, Devlin Foley, Lori Nolan, Tim Tappenbeck (Rulmeca Germany), Zach Laymon, Ricardo Martinez, Thomas Teupel (Rulmeca Germany); (bottom row) Jay Graham, Mike Gawinski, and Patrick Hassett.  Missing from the photo is Kevin White, our Finance Manager, who was at a company controllers’ meeting in Italy that week.

An important part of our time together was demonstrating how Rulmeca Corporation is preparing to apply Motorized Pulley lagging in-house.  In this picture, Jay and Patrick explain how uncured calendared white nitrile compound is cut prior to wrapping in on Motorized Pulley shells to Tim and Thomas as Ricardo watches.

Another important part of the tour included a demonstration of how we set time, temperature, and pressure parameters in our new autoclave prior to hot vulcanizing white nitrile to the pulleys shells.

We even celebrated Tim’s birthday with luncheon and a cake in our cafeteria.  The German birthday cake greeting says, “Happy Birthday Tim”.
