Rulmeca Corporation will offer online Motorized Pulley training until safety concerns about COVID-19 can be reduced and in-house seminars, such as the 2019 seminar shown here, may be reconvened. This “MOOC” (massive open online course) will be self-administered and consists of 11 training modules. Each module includes videos, which may be watched according to the viewer’s desired schedule, and a quiz, which must be completed prior to the end of each of two semesters. The company’s live “MOOC Midterm” and “MOOC Final” webinars will present highlights of the key topics covered in each semester and clarify any difficult material , as identified by answers to the submitted quizzes.
FIRST SEMESTER: This free online course is open to anyone interested in Motorized Pulley technology. Click here to register. Specifically designed to help sales people familiarize themselves with concepts, techniques, terms, and the philosophy of selling internally-powered and hermetically-sealed conveyor belt drives, the first semester emphasizes commercial topics and product benefits. Certain modules (e.g. M303 “How to Calculate Belt Pull and Required Belt Power”), which are more applicable to conveyor belt drive design and optimization, will be beneficial to design engineers and conveyor operators.
